Property Dispute Triage
Property litigation is high-stakes and complex. Use this wizard to identify the right legal route — then engage a qualified lawyer. We do NOT auto-generate property filings; the risk of misdrafting is too high.
Why we don't auto-draft property suits
- Property valuation directly affects court fees (often ₹1,000–₹50,000+) and pecuniary jurisdiction. Wrong forum = case dismissed.
- Limitation periods vary 3–30 years by cause of action — misjudgment is fatal.
- Multiple parallel reliefs may be required (declaration + possession + injunction + damages) — these must be combined correctly to avoid bar of res judicata under §11 CPC.
- Title documents must be verified by chain — even a 60-year-old defect can void your claim.
What's your dispute about?
Documents to gather BEFORE meeting a lawyer
- Title documents — sale deed, gift deed, will, partition deed, or relinquishment deed
- Mutation records (Patwari / Tehsildar / Municipal records) for last 12+ years
- Property tax receipts (proves uninterrupted possession)
- Utility bills (electricity, water) in your name at this address
- Site map / approved building plan (if applicable)
- Encumbrance certificate from Sub-Registrar (last 30 years)
- For builder disputes: Allotment letter, Agreement to Sell, payment receipts, RERA registration of project
- For boundary: Latest revenue survey map (request from Tehsildar/SDM)
